Watch the Republican Convention!! Then...textbook work for weekend!

HW: 1. watch the Republican Convention tonight! List the events of the night. What is the purpose for the convention? List three important issues Romney talks about. List three positive messages and any negative message about Obama. List 2 reasons would you want to vote for him?

2. HW: Textbook: Read p. 135-138 1. p. 135. explain a ‘polis’. Which 3 groups participated in it? P. 138 Explain the Council of 500. Who was in it? What did they do? Who was not allowed to vote? How often and Where did they meet and vote? How do you think they were able to count 6,00o votes!!
